How to Install Pentaho 9.4 on Ubuntu Server 22.04

In this article, I will briefly explain how to install Pentaho Data Integration 9.4 (PDI) on Ubuntu Server 22.04.

Open terminal and update.

sudo apt-get update

Install java.

sudo apt install openjdk-8-jdk
sudo apt install default-jre

Download Pentaho Data Integration 9.4.

wget https://privatefilesbucket-community-edition.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/9.4.0.0-343/ce/client-tools/pdi-ce-9.4.0.0-343.zip

Install Unzip.

sudo apt-get install unzip

Then extract the files.

unzip pdi-ce-9.4.0.0-343.zip

Let’s run.

cd data-integration
./spoon.sh
