How to Install Pentaho 9.4 on Ubuntu 22.04

Hi everyone,

In this article, I will explain how to install Pentaho Data Integration 9.4(PDI) on Ubuntu 22.04 step by step.

Firstly I run virtual machine that I installed last blog post. Open terminal and update.

sudo apt-get update

Check java and If java is not installed, install first it’s.

java -version

Check java and If java is not installed, install java 8 or above.

sudo apt install openjdk-8-jdk
sudo apt install default-jre

Check java again

java -version

Download Pentaho Data Integration 9.4 on own website.

Now we install unzip to open the downloaded Pentaho zip file.

sudo apt-get install unzip

Then extract the files.

unzip pdi-ce-9.4.0.0-343.zip

Let’s run

cd data-integration
./spoon.sh
